The National Geographic Channel's "Humanly Impossible" is a showcase of freakshows, and Austria's Franz Müllner showed off a pretty impressive feat of strength by holding back a Mustang GT500 as it performed a burnout in his face.
As you'll remember, this is the same guy who holds the world record for holding back a Lamborghini Diablo for a full seven seconds. He only held back the GT500 for 6.7 seconds. Is he getting weaker or is the 'Stang just stronger?

What a *****, he needs to do it right from when the wheels start spinning!!!
I could do better than that with a ZO6 , and with my main man driving I reckon I could break that guys world record for sure!

I think that there is some physics to it.
As long as the car starts to spin the rear tires, it gets much easier to hold it in place, since horsepower becomes irrelevant.
Also, the way he holds the line (at an angle) will unload the back of the car under tension, giving the car less traction and thus spinning tires earlier.
It also depends the launch and many other things.
Not that it is easy or that I could do it...

^^This is all irrelevant, no matter how you cut the guy frickin held back 1300 lbs. One of the most pointless feats I know but he did it nonetheless.
