I think the inclusion of the S4 and Accord are ridiculous. The Audi, for one, performs like an IS 350 or 335i but is priced like an IS F or M3. I fail to see the value there.

The Accord is midpack at best, and handily outclassed by the Camry, Fusion, and Malibu. It's clear that C&D is afraid to drop it off the list.

Maybe they are talking about the TSX /Euro Accord?

I wonder did it include the Crosstour..not sure how that helps the Accord's case...not to mention no hybrid....

oh well, their list.

If you mean perform as in accelaration, then yes the IS350 is the same the the S4. The difference is that the S4 handles much better than the IS350. In fact a recent comparo pick the S4 over the BMW 335. If you are familiar with Audi at all, you would know that the value is not just in the performance, its in its interior, built quality and the overall package.
As far as the Accord, its a great sedan, a lot car for the money. It handles better than the Camry and it is just as reliable.

Lists are just petty lists based on opinions and rankings gives them something to print.

I don't understand the S4 at all on there.....at that price, you can have a M45 V-8...bigger, just as fast, V-8, probably as sporty.....

If the S4 started at 40k or so, then I can see it. Its 45k (which aint bad) but climbs fast in price.

I also think the Z offers more value than a Cayman/Boxster. Yeah its better but it costs twice as much with options.

What about the Genesis coupe/sedan?

I'm pretty sure the S4 is comparably priced with the 335i, and especially with the 335xi. They've re-aligned the S4 to compete more with the 335i, leaving the next RS4 to take on the M3/IS-F, etc.

I agree that the Accord is no longer the standard of the class. I'd take a Fusion or Camry over the Accord.

The S4 is significantly more expensive than even the 335xi. With the options that any luxury buyer would expect, it quickly gets into the realm of $60,000 and at that price it's simply no match for the IS F, M3, or C63. I just built one as I would want it on audi.com and it comes to $59,600.

At that price the car is playing in a different league.

I would not say its significantly more expensive than a BMW 335. When I price out a BMW 335Xi last year, almost fully loaded, it was around $55000. I am sure if it was fully equipped like a $60000 S4, the BMW will be very close in price.

The S4 gets up to a hair under $64,000 when fully loaded. Isn't that just a tad over priced?

It is a expensive car, but once you see the car and sit inside it, you will realize why the S4 cost 6 to 7 thousand dollars than the 335Xi.
