I'm going to have to agree with Threxx about this one.
There is a HUGE difference between the ML home and car system. When I use to be active in the car audio world, I've pulled out many ML and Nak speakers/amps and most of them aren't that much better than the regular speakers as far as build quality, use of materials, etc. Percy, the expert audio moderator on CL, was kind enough to post pictures of an ML amp that came out of a GS430 I believe. You would probably think it's just another stock amp if no one told you it was an ML amp.
^ agreed, to get audiophile quality sound in a car, you have to spend an obscene amount of money on quality aftermarket audio equipment. been there, did that, don't got the budget for that anymore now.
10k for a stereo UPGRADE... not a stereo , just an upgrade. I would be more interested in performance and cosmetic upgrades. 10k for a stereo upgrade is foolish imho
