Thanks for keeping the replies positive, guys.
CCXR was closer to $1 mil. and for that money I would've probably saved some more and bought a Bugatti (just kidding). I ordered to CCX with this blueish, silver chrome paint which is a custom color that I picked. The interior will be black on black with silver stitching. I didn't get the completely clear-coated carbon fiber exterior, which is available as an option, so that if I crash into something, dent it, scratch it, it will be easily fixable. Carbon fiber will be way too expensive to repair, or replace. I also got the carbon fiber wing spoiler and some carbon fiber cooling vents.
Koenigsegg makes 12-16 cars a year... so yes, I am very fortunate that I am priviledged enough to purchase one, let alone get it within 18 months. I guess it's the economy, because the representative told me that usually 18 months is the time it takes before the car is even taken in to be built.
That's what I told myself. Business is doing great, it's very busy, and I still have the R8 to keep me occupied until then. I'm not doing this because I want something more reliable... because Koenigsegg aren't exactly electrically reliable, either, and service is done by Lamborghini dealers so it's very expensive regardless.
I hesitated at first but then decided that the manual tranny would be best, even thought I am scared ****less of it. It's about 5 grand more to get it, but when you're spending this amount of money on a car, 5k is peanuts.
I am basically relinquishing my warranty on any problems caused by the drivetrain... and Koenigsegg basically can't be held legally responsible if I crash the thing. The representative told me this thing was really untamable.
Firstly, I don't like the LF-A. Secondly, it would be impossible for me to get one.
WOW! Congratulations and I'm also glad to hear that you ordered the manual tranny - I guess that I'm just old school but in my mind real sports cars have (and will always have) 3 pedals! Also I would find it near impossible to wait 18 months for delivery, but at least you have the R8 to entertain you in the meantime!

Excuse me? Daytona Gray is by far the nicest color on the R8 next to Ibis White. It has a very nice pearl in it. The color I got is a grayish, blueish, chrome paint.
Similar to this steel blueish color but with a chrome paint.
