Top 12 hardest car to get
"To compile our list, we used inventory data from Wards Auto, an automotive data and analysis firm based near Detroit. We calculated day-supply rates of 2009 and 2010 model-year vehicles for June and July to get an average figure for just how obtainable these cars are this summer. (Day-supply rates are inventory numbers divided by the daily selling rate that month.) Then we spoke with manufacturers to find out how long those cars are actually sitting on dealer lots."

Pfft, my local Mini dealer has a lot full of them.
Around here, the cars that play hooky are the Prius, Fit, Civic(or so how my local Honda dealer looks like), Camaro, and the Fusion.
My local Toyota dealer has NO cars - only a bunch of Tundras and Siennas. My local Lexus dealer only has LS, GS, and SUVs except the RXh left.

The Camaro in second place is not surprising. What IS surprising is that it's not in first. The Chevy people say that the entire run of 2010 models is sold out......and it's barely September 2009. They already are taking orders for 2011's.
(I still, BTW, have not has a chance to test-drive a 2010 model to add to my previously-published static review)
The rest of the list proves one thing.....that America still has not gotten over its hunger for SUV's, and demand exceeds supply.

The Q5 so happen to change model year early in June and July hence the shortage, the true winner should really be the Camaro which is impossible to get right now.

Lets try this list above instead of the hard to get cars how about "The most Costliest cars to own" If you look at the list Mercedes is half the list. Go figure LOL.. Dodge/crystler is in second place by the pics and a few SUV's due to gas consumption.

Most of the rest of the vehicles on the list are SUV's. Are you saying, then, in the CFC program, that many people are trading older, gas-guzzling SUV's for newer, less-guzzing ones? Remenber, to get the $4500 rebate, there has to be an EPA 10 MPG difference ($3500 for 4 MPG), and non-hybrid SUV's, in general, even some smaller ones, don't get particularly good mileage.
, but the rest on that list may have benefit from the program.\
