Front is okay...typical Toyco conservativeness, however the doors are too elongated and this is further *enhanced* with the flat top. The rear c pillars are just hideous and looks to be a cop-out of a design...no fluidity at all. That back end is just plain fugly. Toyco should of also offered a smaller displacement 4 banger as an option, especially with fuel costs on the rise again. I predict massive failure for this car.....so sad, since i was a fan of the original tC....

besides the new looks, the only other major upgrade is a 2.5L engine making 180hp instead of the old 2.4's 160hp. It also gets new 18" wheels, USB integration, and other minor tweaks.

The 5 Axis version pretty awesome. The front is scary as hell though... it reminds me like a wood chipper lol

The Five Axis concept is awesome in person. Here's a pic from my Blackberry for now. More to come when I get back home to California.

I wonder how much the Five Axis model would cost if it was like a limited edition model.

Yikes. I was really hoping for a nice redesign of the tC. Looks to me that they really dropped the ball on this one. It's a shame they didn't inject it with more classic proportions. The C-pillar is awful. I don't think there is one good angle from this car.

You can't sell a car on the looks from aftermarket tuners like 5-Axis.

who will buy this over Hachiroku when it comes out? i think making it look bland is not a good decision especially when toyota bro will be much more aggressive than this... it should be other way around.. honestly, i like the current gen more than this.. overall this isn't a bad looking car IMO, but simply put this is very very bland looking car.

maybe hachiroku should've been TC. that would make Scion very special.

^^^good point. no doubt the 5axis makes it look better.

that ginormous spoiler

Now I know why the back end is so ugly. Well, actually, it's the taillight that reminded me of the 1 series

that's not saying much....

toyota needs to stop having different teams design the front and rear.

looks like they hired a bunch of 5th graders to design everything behind the B pillar. Then they fused it with the camry/CT200h team's design.

just when hyundai is coming out with bolder designs, toyota regresses to retarded looking ones.

the interior is the worst part, the last gen was wayyyyyyyyyy better in the interior and the exterior is pretty much a "meh" the back doesnt flow at all tho with the front.
