Something I havent seen before and is a pretty good watch.

 

I like how he went on and on about how fan-dam-tabulous the car is...and then ended the segment by making sure you know that he thinks it's ALMOST as good as the new Jag-U-ar.

For "some" reason, the Brits always say the best luxury car is a Jag, the best SUV is a Range Rover, and the best sports car is a Noble. At least they always give their unbiased opinion.

The 2GS was defiantly a game changer back in its day.

 

It's always neat to see what people thought when the car was new.

Thx for the clips, and it's enjoyable to see the more intelligent, contemplative points of view rather than the more coarse stunts seen at different times.

 

It is really nice to hear such excellent comments about the LS and GS. Back then Lexus was cleary on top of Mercedes and BMW.....not so much the case anymore these day.

I remember my 1999 Car and Driver mag that place LX470 1st, GS430 2nd, GS300 1st in in comparos with BMW/Merc and Cadillac. It is too bad the Lexus has fallen to third or fourth place finishes.

It made me proud as a Japanese car fan to have a V8 sedan to socked it to BMW.

I still think I like Jeremy Clarkson more than that guy but then J Clarkson probably wouldn't have been as nice. He would probably call a Lexus a vehicle of sensory deprivation

 

It's actually the magazins that are getting worse with their newer, younger, and cheaper tester/writers ...
