My brother had an 88 Starion, but I don't recall it having any digital guages It seemed like a car that was ahead of it's time for those days. I believe it came with a stainless steel exhaust system as OEM if I'm not mistaken....

It did after the downpipe/cat combo...This was the first mod I did...Hammered out the honeycomb of the cat. Then hollowed the second cat. Never threw a code. Ran much much better. Drilled eight or so holes into the air can. Got rid of the rubber turbo hoses, for hard pipes...Night and day.
My father had a red one with the louvers on the back window. I always thought those louvers were ugly. It was a fun car to sneak off with as a teen though. (ha ha)
I guess the fun I had in that car laid the foundation for me to get the AWD Twin Turbo Stealth R/T (the later Mitsu/Dodge sports car) I bought years later (and still have.)

Digital dash was discontinued after the 85 or 86 model year.

LOL, I did the same thing
That airbox was a b4stard, I remember using a hole saw in my kitchen - it was loud as all hell trying to cut through that (the airbox is a metal cylinder for those who haven't had the pleasure of dealing with it)

I actually just sold my sc400 project for a 1988 Chrysler Conquest and a 1988 Mitsu Starion (parts car). Absolutely love it. Here are a few pictures, all of them are in the link below.
