Thumbs up Just picked up a C63 AMG

I went to a MB dealership today not even thinking about coming with a car when I was offered the best deal so far. I ended up trading my 08 S5 with 12600 miles (58k MSRP) for 45500 and got 4600 off invoice (was supposed to be 5k but there was this 390 advertising charge) for the C63.

This car is so awesome I almost have zero buyers remorse, but I do have one sour spot. When I was about to sign the final deal the finance rep who was working with me (a hawt chic btw) asked if I wanted to add Lojack for 600 (original 1000) and dent/ding insurance & tire/wheel insurance 5 years for 1200 (orginal 2400 together). I thought about it but when she said the tire and wheel covers even aftermarket wheels I had to go for it. Especially given that I have frequent flats. Did I just pay 1800 (600 + 1200) for nothing or are these insurance (Lojack, Wheel & Tire, dent & ding) worth the money?

hmm.... can anyone else comment on Lojack? The reason I got Lojack was because she said it lowers insurance. I don't know by how much though. If its something that's not worth it I'm going to see if I can cancel it. Can anyone else comment on Lojack?

I think dent and ding is necessary in a city like LA. Some parking spots can be very tight around here.

I hope thats achievable but from the reviews I've been reading it seems most reviews are getting low 4s for 0-60. I think only C&D was able to achieve that in their review.

Great car, pure performance in the classy and solid C-class body. IMHO, the insurance is not necessary and the profit margin on it obscene.

But the thing is that tire and wheel warranty covers aftermarket wheels & tires. If I have a bent rim or bend a future aftermarket rim, one rim could easily exceed 1200 bucks. I think the stock AMG rims cost a good amount too. But I doubt hat I would bust a stock rim, they are strong as hell.

Exactly, but the dealer is happy to upsell high profit margin packages anytime.

btw, if you live in the major population areas of CA where most C63's are sold, take-off wheels are plentiful enough and a lot cheaper than $1200 because so many people upgrade to aftermarket wheels.
