While you may have had your reasons, I still don't see how anybody can be unsatisfied with the S5's 12.5 seconds to 100 MPH, especially since there are few if any places in the U.S. where you can legally drive that speed on a public road anyway.
A Ferrari Enzo, McLaren F1, or Bugatti Veyron can beat even your new C63, but does that you should trade your C63 for one next year if you again decide it isn't fast enough for you?
The thing is, to me, there is this line where it makes a difference between not enough and enough power. For me that line is around the 400 hp mark. In terms of straight line performance its something that can do 0-60 in low 4s and 0-100 in under 10 with 1/4 mi time close to 12.5 mark. Anything slower seems like the mark for previous generation vehicles in this class, set by the e46 M3. I guess I'm not good enough of a driver to say that 0-100 mph in 12.5 seconds is not enough, but I certainly like having more at my disposal.
I'm not trying to act like I got some supercar with the C63. I know its not the fastest car in the world. Its just the first time I owned a car that is considered fast. The S5 is quick, but not fast in this vehicle generation.
Well I think Audi is pitching the "S" cars as not true AMG/M/F competitors. They are bridges from the S-line package to the full RS treatment.
You can get a "S" Audi for the price of a 335 for example.
I know RS4/5 are the comparable cars to the sports sedan class but the S5 fully loaded costs just as much as a IS-F (61000). I dont know how much the 335i costs now fully loaded, two years ago when I was looking at it, it cost around 50k fully loaded.

yup, s6 similarly loaded costs only a bit less than the m3 coupe. 335 relatively loaded is around 50k (msrp) i think, far less than the s5
Who is your tire & wheel insurance through? Is it BMW? Mine is through an independent company and I'm not sure how the process is if I do get a wheel / tire damage. If the process is cumbersome I might just cancel it.
It is through a company called R.O.A.D. InTire
I've now curbed a wheel and will let you know how the process goes!
Mercedes just added a $7500 cash incentive on the C63's. If you're thinking about getting one, now is the time. Should be getting about $12k off sticker! These cars just sound so SICK!
