So Toyota has to put out a soup'ed up GS just to beat a regular M?

 

I agree with GSteg, but the GS F will be a low volume high performance sedan so if the M ends up outselling the GS like it already has been, then who really destroys who?

 

This 'regular M' is faster than the current BMW 550i 4.8L V8 (360 hp) and 2010 Mercedes-Benz E550 5.5-liter V8 ( 382 hp ). However, its not faster than BMW M5 or the MB AMG. So, I dont see anything wrong with that. The GS-F will hopefully produce 500hp, so it can compete with M5 and AMG. And like I said, it will destroy this M

 

But the GS-F is meant to go up against the M5 and such.

GS-F beating the regular M is the same as claiming the E63 will destroy a BMW 550i.

What I'd like to see is a 'performance' version of the M. That would be a good head to head battle with the GS-F.

 

Side reminds me of the Hyundai Azera but with more style. It looks pretty good to me, nice short overhangs.

Interior has the sweeping sides of the Impreza and really doesn't look that much different from the current model, seems the vents are moved and the NAV screen is higher. Should be a comfortable place for current Nissan/Infiniti owners.


A 5.6 V-8 did come out of nowhere. That is the largest engine in a Japanese sedan here ever. I wouldn't be surprised to see it rated at 420 or 425hp, a jump of 100 over the current M45. Thats .1 more than the Benz 550 and BMW 550 (well BMW never gives their damn cars the exact engine size, its always bigger it seems)

Clearly the 3.7 can make 330-350hp so that is a huge jump as well.

I am more impressed with the specs again after reading/seeing this. Its a big shot at everyone else in this class!

Looks good with wheels and a drop but so does everything. Its a pretty good design. I'm also happy the ugly calipers on the current model are gone for better looking units.

Yeah, after seeing this, i'll trade in my GS and get a hyundai......... it's the sexiest of the bunch.

 

Im just happy its not ugly or a step back in design. They did a good job the more I look at it. It doesn't seem bigger but surely size grew. I like it waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the last M3/45.

now looking at more detail pics, the interior still look good but i still have problems with the dash controls / nav setup. that's one big complain i have against the current gen

 

Man Infiniti stepped their game up for the M, I really like the direction they took with it. The new M looks really good however it shares the some Maxima looks but enough to separate it from the Max. I think this M will sell quite well for them and the interior looks fantastic!

(Front & Side) look like the G37&Equus. XF looks much better except the front headlights.
(Rear) 3/4 shot looks real mean, very sporty. (Essence) trunk lip & trunk looks like another small opening access.
(Interior) looks nice,huge upgrade,classy.
(Engine) AWESOME POWER!!! Pay attention Lexus!!
