My dad got caught for rolling on a bus lane and we like to find out if this violation requires him to attend traffic school. The ticket had the 'infraction' box checked. Anyone?

The ticket also had a "correctable" box and that wasn't checked. I'm assuming if that box was checked, that it means the ticket requires traffic school. Since it's an infraction, does it mean traffic school isn't needed?
I'm still digging thru DMV's site for info.

Oh, I see. I believe it's this: http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d11/vc21655_5.htm
Damn, I better go call the court tomorrow to see if traffic school is required. sigh.

most counties have a court website where you can get all this information. for the most part you won't be able to do anything until you receive the notice in the mail.
the SLO courthouse is slocourts.net
and for SFO try http://www.sfgov.org/courts

My friend just did online and somehow it got messed up so she has to take it in person now anyway. And the modules she said were kind of long.
Anyway, I think your dad HAS to go to traffic school. It's just that they give you the option. Depending on the ticket amount and affect on his insurance he may want to just pay it and let it be on his record.
I got a ticket a ticket, albeit for no head-lights, could have done traffic school to get it off my record but my agent told me it wouldn't affect my premiums and to save the trip to traffic school until I got a ticket for speeding, red-light violation, or an infraction that would affect my premiums.
There are some insurance experts on here so perhaps they can chime in on this.
