oh btw, another quick example of the m3 capability. there is this freeway intersection ramp. in my sc430 (modded), gs400 (heavily modded), gs350 (modded), and ls460l (modded), i could never go faster than 70mph taking the turn. any faster, i don't feel safe anymore and i could feel the cars started to slide
but with my m3, without the m mode, i can go 85mph and the car just takes the turn like it's nothing, and i know the car can go even faster. and imagine if i set the m mode on the car as well
of course all my previous cars are no match to the m3 in performance, but i was pleasantly surprised

Of course we all know that wasn't the primary purpose of those seats.

it's from 73 north to 55 north. i have tried both the inside and outside lane. it's funny, looking at the turn i would think the lexus can go faster, but at least i "feel" if i go faster the car might start to slide? this is before the tires start to scream of course
actually on the is-f the seats are much more improved already. the lateral support is very nice. though this is a personal preference, but i think the m3 seats feel a little better (and the highly adjustable seat including lateral support is super nice)

You're a bastard, you ventured to the darkside.
Congrats on the ride, can't wait to finally see it up close.

I have a friend that owns both, and here's what he's posted in the past:
To be fair, it should be noted that his M3 coupe has KW coilovers while his NSX-T suspension is stock. My NSX is a coupe and I have aftermarket suspension upgrades (including shocks/sway bars/chassis reinforcement bars), so it'll probably be a little closer.
My friend is one of the most knowledgeable NSX owners on the planet, and to hear him say that he'd keep his M3 over his NSX says volumes about that car.
Guys, I own both cars, E92 M3 and 95 NSX. The M3 will outperform the NSX on most, if not all tracks and with less effort. The LSD is a thing of beauty and the power delivery is awesome. Take a look at the torque curve below, almost completely flat. The car redlines higher than the NSX at 8400 RPM! This would be almost the perfect engine for the NSX.
Where the M3 would disappoint is in the steering feel and the vague, rubbery shifter. The car also hides from you how fast you are really going. The first couple weeks of ownership I had to keep an eye on the speedometer because you get up to speed so quickly and you don't feel it. You have to know as an owner that there are few cars that make you feel at one with the gearbox like the NSX does.
As many people have pointed out, the NSX has a kart feeling to it. The M3 is much more sophisticated and refined in comparison. It's great to own both, they are fantastic cars. But if I ran into a situation where one had to go, I would keep the M3.
