Default Updated 2010 Lexus ES350 spy pic

The Camry based Lexus is due for a small revision for the 2010 model year. Just like it's Camry cousin.
From this picture, it just looks like the usual, new bumper, revised grille and new headlights.

Nothing earth shattering....

Lexus has mentioned before the current generation ES will be the last one based on the Camry.
I wonder what they will replace it with. Or even IF they will replace it.

The IS an the upcoming small Hybrid might just be enough models under $35 000 for one brand.

I wonder about the tranny as well. Hopefully it is an all new redesigned unit.

I think it loos good. I like driving the current loaners. Its not as sporty as my GS , but definetly makes me feel like lexus took their time when designing this car. I am surprised to hear about the tranny problems

I just hope they have made a lot of changes now that it's being put into the Venza, Highlander, Avalon, and new RX.

Wasn't Toyota's problem with the U650 mostly software, unlike Honda which was bad engineering and a pathetically weak design to handle V6 torque?

As one of the commenters on that site mentioned, it looks like a Mark X / Reiz facelift, and that is a smaller car. I'm kind of skeptical about this one, but if they can make the ES look even better, more power to them.

Reminds me of the previous generation Camry from that blurry picture
Just based on that pic alone, I prefer the current ES look.

Funny. I tried cleaning off my screen, but it didn't help.

Seems unlikely that the ES would go away. Along with the RX, it's Lexus bread and butter vehicle. Maybe some powertrain updates, AWD option etc. Nothing radical though. Much like they handled the transition to the current gen ES and new RX.
