Yeah, Lexus won't cancel their biggest seller. Who ever wrote this snippet is just dumb.

If not based on the Camry, what else? The GS RWD platform? Changing from FWD to RWD is a very radical change for their best selling sedan, even if they offer AWD--not everyone wants that. Especially those looking for the cushy ride of an ES.

based on the latest trend, lexus would not radically update the front headlamps like that.

lexus goes the cheap route now- new bumpers + a few other little things.

As a mild refresh it's OK.

I like their balance of FWD, RWD, and AWD offerings. Something for everyone.

I think you just hit the nail on the head, Lexus certainly does offer something for everybody, it'll be great if they can broaden that "something" with something more for the enthusiasts.

The 2IS, especially the IS F, is a good start and I just hope they can follow up with it.

highly doubt they will make it rwd. if anything, that will have to hold out till a complete redesign.

That's the rumor, but I too doubt they will make it RWD. If they do, it's great, but with the reportedly FWD HS 250h coming along, and what about the GS being the midsize RWD model?

The badge reminds me of Lexus' hybrid models, could this be a hybrid ES?

Maybe the 4th Lexus model for 2009 is a hybrid ES...

Looks sharper. I really like this current generation design. It's up there with the 97-01 (3G?)
