Default 2009 Honda Civic Type-R

Interesting. Just saw this over on Pop Mechanics. Not bad looking for a tiny hatchback. This is what Honda does best.

interesting. the pictures of the car in motion are of a RHD model that wouldn't make it here.

but then there's the rendering of the interior with LHD.

if this makes it to america then, well, corolla, if you haven't already done so, consider yourself really really ****ed.

Yeah the Civic image isn't so hot. I do think its great Honda produces this car, though we don't get it. Thing is it has gotten very mixed reviews in Car/EVO/Top Gear and well, its the usual Honda ugly as sin.

Still, its vastly more interesting than anything Toyota makes.

I wouldn't say so. Civics do get cross-shopped with Corollas, but the CTR will most likely be cross-shopped with the Scion tc than any other Toyota product.

I saw Civics like this in Europe. The Type R version just adds 10 year old Integra Type-R specs to the sheet. I'm sure this is good news to someone, just not me.

I always though this isn't a real Type R, so is the Accord Type R they have in Britain... I like the Accord Type R, but not this Civic, I consider the Japanese version of the Type R is a REAL Type R as it's made by Honda Japan, where the true Type Rs have always been.

Just my 2 cents

Corolla and Civics are rivals. At least in the "regular" world.

In the "Tuner" world, Civics and tCs are rivals.
