Mitsubishi Eclipse..forgotten coupe?
I have noticed that most of the Manufacturers are starting to use the same nose job on all their line-ups once they settle on one model. Example: Acura, Nissan, Mercedes, and now Mitsubishi. There are more but can't remember at the moment.
This car lost its appeal with the tuner crowd when Mitsubishi dropped the turbocharged engine. I want to see this car with the same engine as the Evo, that would bring it back from obscurity.

Definitely forgotten. They ruined ANY and ALL following it had when they redesigned it without AWD and atleast a Turbo option. It got heavy, slow, had quirky styling and got more expensive. They tried to bring back the spirit of the second gen with the current model, but that is full of fail too.
Mitsubishi only has one solid car line IMO, and that is the Lancer. IMO a very strong car in that class.

I didn't like this design, and I had the chance to drive it a few times....and was horrified at how impractically crap the turning radius was. Driving around mall/costco/you-name-it parking lots was actually STRESSFUL because you might not make it around into the next parking lane without careful distance calculation....
oh, and forgot about the seriously inadequate interior quality.

I think it's more like they don't have the money to do cool things like that anymore.
The current Outlander was supposed to carry a lot of weight for the company, it hasn't. The new Lancer, sure it's an improvement, but I've seen more of the new Corollas out than the new Lancers around (which was released before the new Corolla). Evos are great, but it's a niche vehicle that doesn't give Mitsubishi the financial liberty to do MORE cool things.
