I have a 2006 A4 2.0t and aside from a couple rattles my only issue was an unexplained single occurrence of a check engine light when it was almost brand new (never came back) and a burnt out map light.
I'm well aware that I might have gotten lucky, though. Not to mention that was only 27k miles of driving, and 2 years... not exactly a long term durability test.
According to Consumer Reports the '04 and '05 2.0T are rated Below Average for overall reliability. '06 and '07 are rated Average.
There are other sources of info out there too. Good luck.
now how am I supposed to belive this when the the b7 came out in 2006 and some in 2005.5 the 04 was a 1.8t the and most of the 05's were 1.8t's as well

Correction to my ooriginal post: FWIW in CR, the heading is "Audi (4cyl)". It doesn't list specific 4 cyl. engine sizes.
yes the CPO warranty is 6 yrs from the inservice date and 100K miles. There are a number of a4's at my local dealer with what seems like reasonable prices. 2007's in the low-mid 20's (10-25K miles) with CPO warranty.
