I doubt that the actual production SS will have that much power. That would put it too close to standard Corvette power. Chevy's traditional marketing is to kep the SS/Z28 one step below the 'Vette.
However, Dodge's 425 HP Hemi SRT8 Challenger is, no doubt, strong competition...they may decide to go with the full 425 HP regardless.
