Some old Monteros, yes.....along with the 1995-96 Isuzu Trooper/Acura SLX.
The issue, in a tall, narrow SUV, is not necessarily speed. One can get into trouble even at lower speeds if a too-abrupt manuver is required, such as if a child or an animal runs out in the street in front of you.

And i guess this thread just goes to show everyone has their own tastes. Personally i like it because i wouldn't want to drive fast in an suv any way you put it, i would have a porsche for that haha

You will be fine in a GX470. Almost any SUV will likely roll in the event of a some large animal running out onto the roadway. The GX470 will do fine up until 65mph..plus it has stability control and roll over protection.

Right, but anything under 50mph will most likely be saved by stability control.
I am not sure but I think there are standards on how high the centre of gavity can now be on SUVs.
Perhaps someone can comment on that?
