Default Lexus advertising philosophy

I feel that the GS will continue to sell poorly because Lexus hardly advertises the car. I watch advertisements for the LS, the IS, and ES and the RX series, but the GS seems to get left out. The 5 series gets advertised more. so does the Infiniti M cars. What do you guys think about this?

I actually don't see ads for the GS350/460, 5-Series, E-Class, nor the M35/45 as much as other vehicles (such as the flagship LS and S-Class, or the sporty entry-level IS and 3-Series).

The GS doesn't sell well because it is inferior as far as sport performance is concerned. Although the GS is sporty in the Lexus line-up, the ES350 cuts into its sales because of similar refinement and luxury. For people that want/need more sport, they tend to skew towards BMW and MB, and now, Infiniti.

The ES gets the most airing around here. I use to see a GS commercial onces in a while, but Lexus cut back on it.

haha, well, GS is in a tough seat, as people that want to get into lexus tend to buy the IS as well as younger crowds, and also people that can buy GS can probably shell out another 10k for the LS

middle child usually never gets the love, but then again, I love it, it's nice being exclusive

and all the lexus commercials are on lexus.com

GS commercial was shown during the 2008 superbowl so no worry, we do get attentions

I think lexus products are second to none , and the GS series is a great car that has never gotten it's due because the BMW faithful ( including journalists always put it down especially when compared to the 5 series. The GS may not be perfect, but the 5 is very far from perfection. What I want to see from Lexus in their commercials is a little bragging - show some swagger. They have a very successful history and they need to start showing it off a bit

Lexus needs to get rid of that narrator; I don't know how many British butlers and/or their wealthy masters there are in the US - but they probably don't make up most of Lexus' demographic. Lexus' ads are even more pretentious than MB's.
