As much as I like the R8, that is no supercar!!

 

the new V10 R8 will be a heck of a super car though

R8 doesn't have that supercar good looks...just kinda looks like a GT-R on steroids

Agree. Being that the GTR is so huge compared to the R8, a better comparison might be the R8 looks like a refined GTR although I too don't really see any similar lines at all. Mind engine cars are uniquely shaped.

OBVIOUSLY the GTR looks nothing like R8. What I meant was that both the GTR and R8 do look radical and 'supercarish'. But ten years from now, they will not look as good as the other cars in the race (Lambo, SLR and Ferrari). I just don't see the R8 as supercar is all. It's just kind of hard associating Audi with supercar when the company also makes people carriers and grocery getters, even the Benz needed McLaren's magic to make itself super. The NSX, no matter how fast or how good it is will never be called a supercar because it shares such company with the Accords and the Civics. I see the R8 as a very, very, very good sports car...supercar? I'll take the Lambo thank you

 

Which one? Gallardo? It rides on the same platform and uses the same transmission as the R8.

The V10 version of the R8 will also use the same engine.

 

I don't think the Aston Martin DBS, which I think is possibly the most beautiful car in the world, and also the SLR , have a supercar look either.
But the R8 had a pretty unique look, & is much more attractive looking than the GT-R. Yes the V10 model would be awesome ...

 

I can't believe the Murcielago's V12 lasted as long as it did. Clarkson was pushing it very hard too.

 

I'd still take the DBS...
