We have all seen the new commercials that talk about the perfection that lies beneath a lexus vehicle. Where they do the air spray to keep even the dust from the engine room.
well heres to the pursuit! does anybody else see the alignment problems on this IS dash?
that doesnt scream quality to me

Seriously though, not really a big deal, but it can be a big deal if you ad is implying perfection. However, most people probably don't even know what "Behind the Pursuit" means anyway.

that's how most of the 2IS dash look and also there are a lot of TSIB for the 2IS. Their quality are not as top notch as in the 90's.

eesh ... can you see that when youre driving?
i should take a pick at the same angle of the IS300 in my garage, it doesn't have that, uh, 'qwerk'

its not just a gap. it really brings out the misalignment of the panels

Humph, how embarrassing! Of course they're talking about the wood matching, but the use of that pic (also in the IS photo gallery)...maybe it was a pre-production model?
Compare with this pic, it seems that junction between the silver trim is not supposed to be a straight line, but still closer than in that earlier pic (which looks like you could wedge a paper clip in between):

Great find. it's kinda sad to hear all these things about rattles and cheap interiors associated with newer Lexus models. I really hope they fix this quick, if infiniti can do it with the new G35/37 so can Lexus.

Reminds me of an old Jag... great wood, but everything around it doesn't line up.
