Totally a chicks car but super fun to drive and will own most cars on the track, several cars run them on the track and do very well.

What about a 2000 Toyota Celica? I used to have a 2003 and it was an awesome car.

Honda is always a good bet, any german car is the opposite. IMO Civic is the benchmark " girl's first car " CRX may be ultimate for you & her combo (soon to be reintroduced by Honda)

Would you mind defining a "Chick" car? I don't believe in that stereotype and image nonsense. Miatas, like everything else on four wheels, are for anyone, male or female, who likes them and can afford one.

I just wanted to complete this thread and close it by saying.. YES I found the car this past weekend. Its a Honda Civic Hybrid. The only change I'll make to the car is the wheels... gotta upgrade that crappy wheels to a 17" Sure I lose like 2mpg.... but at 44mpg, that's not a huge loss. And this car will last quite a while. The best of all worlds - reliable, gas frugal, young and hip/cool Civic. My daughter will be pleased.

Agreed, just a timeless classic. Especially the 94 or 95 TYPE II in red or gold! still love those cars

Congrats. You could get that for $7K or less?

Also, on the wheel upgrade - be careful as it could make the car a LOT slower too. The hybrid's wheels/tires are skinny and light for fuel economy.

With gas prices high, great pick up. It couldn't have been 7k though could it?
