since benz cut some cost on the glue for the 430 models it lost the 0 from the trunk lid....which resulted in this rare s43!!!

I've seen those chop jobs of the last number on Benzies a few times. And COINCIDENTALLY, there is always an AMG badge on the right side of the trunk.

In fact one time I saw an "ML50 AMG" at the mall as I was walking through the parking lot. I slowed my roll as I was thinking to myself "Why on Daimler's green earth..." Just then, the owner actually approaches and unlocks his ML500...errr.. I mean ML50 and sees me "checkin out" his car. I look at him, look at the badge, look at him again and burst out into laughter as I walk away.

Add that to Mmarshall's list of "how do you know when automakers are cutting costs"

Sadly, this is 10x as bad as just leaving the 0 on and adding an AMG badge, which is what I usually see.

I've seen a lot of MB with the entire S430 removed, and just the AMG badge on. Of course one quick look and most of them have the stock 430 exhaust I guess the AMG badge by itself must give them 20 more hp. Whatever.
