GTR mark up
my order is for 5k+ and order from out of state (NY). But i am still not 100% sure if i will be getting the car from the dealer. There are some who gets with MSRP and some who pays asmuch as 20k+.
But I guess you might be a little late for 2009 allocation if you are trying to find a good deal.

Just to chime in my 2 cents. I tried, all be it late (April) to get a GTR at or about MSRP and the best I could get was 10K over behind the 1st person on the list with no guarantee, meaning if the first guy didn't want it, I would have it.
I passed.

PM kyang91, i think he was thinking about getting one. I also know another person in Chicago that's really interested in the GT-R but he said with the way the dealerships are treating him, he's leaning towards the M3 now.
It is a steal if I intended to sell it and not baby it in my garage and enjoy it for what it is. Besides, the first guy had $30K down, I doubt he wasn't going take delivery and he would sell it for $30K himself if he didn't.

There is always negotiations room in anything.
yes negotiation. Since they have dedicated sales personal for GTRs, the guy who is in charge of the sales had a hip replacement surgery, so haven't had a chance to sit down a discuss; however, they have already mentioned that 15 over is doable
btw, nagtroc.org is a good GTR forum. A lot of helpful members there and that's how I found my deal. And hopefully, I will be a happy GTR owner before 2009. So far, it has been a bumpy ride with nissan dealers.
I haven't actually.
Again the guy who is in charge wont be able to sit and talk with me until this weekend or Monday. I'm still kinda in the dark at the moment.
The car was ordered sometime ago. The owner of the dealership bought it for him self. It is already on the ship, he showed me the conformation. For one reason or the other, he agreed to sell it. I know his son, thats how I found out. Lucky for me its the color and package I wanted.
Now, hes telling me that it will be here in mid June, but will it be here in June 100%? I don't know. Though it takes less than a month for the vessel to reach states once it sails and it has sailed.

As far as I know, the earliest delivery for the GTR is going to be in July.

I hate Nissan Dealers, not all of them, but most. They are probably the most difficult and untrustworthy dealers I have ever done business with.
Just be careful when you are dealing with them. Have every thing in writing.
Good luck. It's an amazing car, and if it wasn't for GTR, I wouldnt even look back, and deal with them. And you can be sure that I will never set my foot into Nissan dealers if it wasn't for GTR.
BTW, if you can wait, there are reputable dealers such as CARMAX in White Marsh Nissan is doing MSRP but their wait list is way too long. Give them a call to find out how long the wait list is.
