He's talking about the nasty dash they share.

Edit...Sorry I'm an idiot, I meant...

It looks like...A BMW interior with I drive...Then simlar dash and seats...then an infiniti steering wheel.

I don't see the similarities in the dashes. If anything it looks more like the Q45/prev. M45/current. M45/CLS-Class. Even then the similarities are minimal and I think we're just nitpicking.

Well there are not that many ways to configure a dashboard so I am not surprised. I'd like either a holographic dashboard with floating shifter orrrrrr put the steering wheel and drivers seat in the middle and the dashboard on both sides now that would be neat!

What I want to know is if they used a Plastic, leather, or vinyl dash/interior panels. That will always determine class.

You know, many are saying they will never compete on the same level as the big luxury car manufacturers, but for a first attempt this is exceptional IMHO. If the reports of this car really is about $30K and not $40K like I thought it might be, I'll probably buy one and try it out. Considering loaded Camry and Accords run in the mid $25K range, $5K more for a car like this would be a no brainer for me. Better warranty, more HP, RWD, just as good quality, looks much better. I probably wouldn't choose this over a a LS460/GS350, or M35/45, or Mercedes E class, but I'd pick this over a Mercedes C class, and Lexus ES.

It appears to use a standard vinyl dash, but it says leather dash is/could be an option. How many luxury cars today use leather dashes though compared to the rest?

Whether you like it or not, this car is gonna be good for competition. I see it appealing to the Chrysler 300 crowd.

This truely would be a camry, accord killer. Those who care less about luxury/image and more about value and durability.

i think I would most likely get it over an Avalon if I were looking in this market segment. Can't wait to see it in person, sit in it ...
