I thought I would start this thread to see which 'Executive Class' luxury sedans are your favorites nowadays. You can select up to 3 options from the poll.
Here are the options:
BMW 5-Series
Mercedes E-Class
Lexus GS
Infiniti M
Cadillac STS
Audi A6
Volvo S80
Acura RL
Saab 9-5
Jaguar S-Type
Honestly I think this is the weakest segment of the luxury market.
There are some damn fine offerings in the classes above and below this but this is where things haven't quite heated up yet, IMO.
The E was sweet once upon a time but is getting long in the tooth now. The Saab 9-5 I don't even really consider worth mentioning. The 5-series is OK but too many cheap details IMO for this class of car.
If I had to pick one I think it'd be a toss up between the Infiniti M and the Audi A6.
I added the Jag, reason being is despite issues with them, we had two XJ6s when I was younger and that way that they ride is something I can never forget, and even with the newer one's I have test driven, it's a feeling that is still there. However as far as quality.
I read this poll (and voted for it accordingly) as not being about the "M", "AMG" varieties, but about the mainstream versions.
Ahh man, I have to select the Clark Kent cars.. No fare Ok, Well based on my driving experience with these cars, I would select the 5 series, Mercedes E class, & Caddy STS..
