Default Picking a car...

For my dad. No i'm not buying him one yet (one day). But he has asked me to see about some more upscale luxury cars. He has caught his eye on the new S class, im assuming itll be the 4matic too. But the problem I have is, that it might be a car that is too complicated for him. Seeing as how the radio, nav and such is now controlled through a center console remote. Hes coming from a Toyota Tundra (before that a LX470) both of which, did not have nav or any hair raising technology and a simple dash layout. With all the buttons located on the dash it is much easier for him. I have considered the LS460, though it doesnt come with AWD. What do you guys suggest?

Simplest way is to take him to the dealers with you and have him try the tech for himself. The buttons + touchscreen vs iDrive/COMAND/MMI has been going on a long time on this board and in the end it all comes down to personal preference

Im not overly impressed with MB myself.

How bout GS350, 535xi, A6, Legacy Spec.B.

Those are more AWD reccomendations.
