I noticed with the new IS-F in Frankfurt and the new hybrids, how blue is being used. It it the Lexus official color?

 

Maybe. Lexus has some really nice blue hues. The IS-F blue, the Black Sapphire Pearl (dark blue), the Aquamarine Blue on the ES350, the LS600's Black Opal looks like it has a little blue in it (or is it purple??I dont remember)even the hint of light blue in the Glacier Frost color is really nice. And as pictured above, the blue halo around some of the badging.

 

I was trying to figure out if the blue border is a permanent part of the F-Series logo...

 

Yeah not sure. TRD was white/red. Not sure what color L-tuned was. Everyone else uses red, M, S/RS, R (uses green Jag), and every red sport,type s badge on Acuras and infinitis now.

Just noticed that my 450h emblem is also blue. Just wish the L lit up like the 600h.

 

L-Tuned was plain silver/black.

And the emblem on the LS600hL doesn't light up, it just looks that way due to a very slick blending of the blue highlight into the black background on the emblem.

 

The Japanese guys like the blue. It seems to be an on going trend since Detroit.

One of the Lexus engineer told me that Blue mean Power in Japan( we asked during the LS600h training, correct me I'm wrong.

Interesting how this logo is also supposed to be shaped like part of the Fuji Speedway...

 

I like them, except the blue hue on the L logo of the hybrid may not match well with paint colors like Noble Spinel Mica & Golden Almond Metallic . . .
