Following a beauty down the road
Postwar Packards were considered powerful cars - typical of the marque's reputation for power and smoothness. That one appears to be of about 1948 vintage.

It boasted a huge 356 CID straight eight engine with a 104-lb crankshaft running in NINE main bearings. "Overengineered and understressed" they called it. Of course it was pushing a vehicle that weighed over two tons, so it required the most powerful engine in the auto industry at the time. It was a refined highway cruiser that had no equal. Not bad for 60 years ago!
