Fast Lane, EZ Pass, FasTrak painting
have any of you tried painting your transponder?
I have smoky granite mica, and my fastlane sticks out like a sore thumb in the middle of my windshield. I'd like to paint it grey/black so that it blends in with the car and the upper window tinting.
Just wondering if it effects the performance.
I'm going to try it very soon, so I will let you know as soon as I do it, just wanted to see if anyone here has tried.
I figured i'll use any type of non-metalic paint.

Ah. You could use the velcro supplied to attach it to the carpet to the right of your leg. I see where you are coming from though. I just hate see ANYTHING on my windshield area. A black transponder would bother me as well.

For those of you interested, I painted my Fast Lane transponder this weekend using flat black rustoleum. Still works perfect, and looks 100% better than white. I hardly notice it from the interior, and doesnt stick out at all from the exterior. I highly suggest doing this if you dont like having to take it out of your console every time.
enjoy!

Make sure that painted thing sits outside for a couple of days, so that your car does not smell like an organic chemistry lab.
