Default Xenon vs. projector

Some Lexus models are advertised as having Xenons, others have projectors.

Are they the same thing? Both Xenon? Or is there a difference?

xenon is the type of noble gas.

projector is the physical bowl with the lens.

You can have xenon without projectors and xenon with projectors. They are in two different category.

Yeah, they are two different categories:

Type of lightbulb:
Halogen vs. Xenon

Method of illumination:
Projector vs. Parabolic mirror

Halogen: Halogens are the regular lights on the road with a yellow tint. Light is generated by a filament.
Xenons: The bluer lights. They are often brighter. Generated by emission of light from electrified noble gasses.

Projector: The light is directed by traveling through a lens
Parabolic: The light reflects onto mirrors which direct it onto the road.

That's my understanding. Correct me if im wrong though.

I believe reflector is the more common term, yaro1 summed it up.
