2007 Tundra at the Toyota Dealer Near my House.
On my way home today, I saw that the Toyota dealer right next to my house has a new Tundra on the display stage. Luckily, I had my camera with me, and I snapped some shots. They must have done this yesterday afternoon, because it wasnt there yesterday morning. I might have to go stop by and check it out in person... maybe even take one for a drive and see if it's better than the last one!

I saw 3 variants on Toyota's booth at the International Builder's Show this week.
They had a 2 door with regular bed I presume. It looked small, awkward, and kinda cheesy.
They had a 4 door with regular bed I'd guess. It looked decent, and I sat inside. Interior is very nice, except I still don't like the aluminum-like plastic.
They also had an HUGE length bed one which looked a bit weird to me, but they probably had it to show they can haul 4x8' sheets with the lift gate up.
Ford had a variety of vehicles there, including some specialty trucks like the F-750. Now that's a MONSTER. Made the Tundra look like an Elise.
But it's great to see Toyota finally with a competitive full size truck.

Saw a couple different versions of it at last month's Detroit Auto Show. Much bigger than the previous Tundra. A couple things I noticed:
The good:
HUGE, absolutely huge!
Very competitive pricing vs. the competitors
Nice motor & towing specs
The bad:
Center console for HVAC was too far away from the drivers seat position to reach
Felt cheap when closing the door
What's up w/that fake grille/slat in front of the hood?
Checkout the TRD (Designed by ASC) street Tundra concept w/a supercharger at last year's SEMA:

That's gonna be a beast w/the TRD supercharger!

Drove a 5.7 one the other day as I wait for my salesperson to find the color and package combo I am looking for. The truck was amazing. Too much power down low, fantastic stance, many options, good ride, brakes stopped well, the HVAC controls being too far away was my only complaint.
The truck is just flat out mean looking and IMO the most agressive truck out there.
Hope someone comes out with a supercharger kit shortly as I will be the first to pick it up.
Looking for a 4x4, double cab, in blue, in Limited with nav

If you're interested in a s/c then contact Underdog Racing as I hear they've been working on Toyota suv & truck's for awhile now & are reliable. They're also known on the FJ Cruiser forums for their superchargers. Good luck w/the search for a bad boy Tundra!
