Yeah but Cadillac actually sells true luxury cars and SUVs. The only Acura's over 40k are the RL and MDX, the rest are entry or sub entry level cars/suvs.

Sorry bud, but the TSX LOADED does not begin where the CTS starts
CTS is a 30k-50k car.
TL LOADED does not begin where the STS starts. STS starts at 45k to 90k loaded!!!
DTS and RL I think are priced similarly but the DTS easily outsells the RL.

Again, the RDX loaded doesn't hit the SRX base price.
MDX loaded doesn't hit the Escalade starting price.

Apples to Oranges my friend, thus my point.

Your points maybe valid as far as pricing goes, but each and everyone of these Acura's are ridiculously superior to each and everyone of these caddilacs you listed.

Are you addressing me? If so, my point in posting wasn't to compare CTS to TSX, DTS to RL, etc. I have them grouped in sedan, coupe/convertible, and SUV, from lowest to highest priced because that's how my Excel spreadsheet is organized for all makes. I was just posting the detailed sales figures for both...

But I do have a predilection for Honda/Acura, as you know...

For the record BMW car and truck sales were up. Mini sales were down.
no... BMW sales were down, if adjusted for days in month.

I have no hate for BMW, where in the whole world did you notice that?

In fact, I was comparing it to MB, which is on strong rise, compared to BMW which has been in constant decline for quite an while now. From European standpoint, thats biggest argument of all times (BMW vs MB).

That's what I thought, but lots of people (including mavericck) say that in Europe and in Germany in particular, Audi is the king. Even a friend who lived in Germany for a few years said there it's Audi > BMW > MB.

Default BMW says sales rose 0.5 percent in January (worldwide)

Wednesday, February 07, 2007

AP

FRANKFURT, Germany -- German automaker BMW AG said Wednesday that sales inched up 0.5 percent in January.

Total sales for the month rose to 94,276 cars, compared with 93,835 in the same month last year, the company said in a statement.

Sales of the BMW brand increased by 3 percent to 80,629 cars compared with 78,265 vehicles last year. The company said it expects sales to be "more dynamic" over the course of the year as it introduces the new BMW 3 Series convertible and the revised BMW 5 and BMW 1 series models.

"Production of the new generation of Mini at the Oxford, U.K., plant is running at full speed," The company said. The vehicle has been available on European markets since November last year.

In January, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars handed over 25 Phantoms to customers after 30 last year, down 17 percent. The company plans for Rolls-Royce to outstrip its 2006 sales of 805 cars in the year 2007.

BMW shares fell 2 percent to euro45.65 (US$59.07) in Frankfurt.

Surprising worldwide sales barely moved.
