- Sales up 6.0 Percent; MAZDA3 Celebrates Best January Ever -
IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Mazda North American Operations
(MNAO) today reported its best January since 1994 thanks to sales of 19,265
vehicles for January 2007, accounting for a 6.0 percent increase versus
last year.
January sales were led in volume by continued strong sales of the
wildly popular MAZDA3, which reported sales of 7,653 units, a 25.3 percent
increase versus last year. The innovative MAZDA5 multi-activity vehicle
continues to be a strong seller as it posted sales of 1,326, an 8.7 percent
increase versus last year.
Mazda's all-new 2007 CX-9 three-row, seven-passenger crossover SUV will
be arriving in dealerships later this month with a starting MSRP of
$29,035. The CX-9 features a six-speed automatic transmission mated to a
3.5-liter V6 engine that pumps out 263 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque.
"Our strong sales momentum from last year has carried over into this
year enabling us to start the new calendar year off on the right foot,"
said Jim O'Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations.
"Our vehicle lineup continues to expand as we welcome the CX-9 to the Mazda

no, its because new civic is an pure failure... Last year when I said so (it constantly sold less than old Civic), people claimed it was because of the low production... I just wonder where are they shipping those civics? Moon?

Looks like the 5 Series and 7 Series experienced some rather large drops. 3 Series continues to stay strong. 7 Series is awfully close to selling less than 1000 units per month. It looks like the new LS is starting to affect both S Class and 7 Series sales.
