Well "they" say the LS has the bangle butt, but I've never heard that the LS ripped off the 7 and I'm quite sure those two cars are not confused by people.
But I for one can tell you that the new ES from a distance "could" be an IS, or is it maybe the new LS? Are you saying the current Lexus lineup (aka L-Finesse sedans) are not near clones? Or that the BMW line-up looks more alike?

I honestly fail to see the how they can be "virtually triplets" btw IS, LS, and ES. And I honestly don't think 3,5 and 7 look alike as some people on this thread are referring to. IMHO, 3 series look good. 7 (refresh) looks really good, and 5 series looks a bit odd (nothing personal) ;more like how 7 series used to be before the face lift. I am sure they are going to get it right with the face lift this time.
