Maybe the GS 460 will be shown in January in Detroit? I would hope so....
.
A RWD 4.6L in the lighter GS, especially with the same 380 HP / 367 ft-lbs as in the LS460 tune, would be a real powerhouse. Even in the heavier LS, with its mundane, tallish 2.97 final-drive unit, it gives borderline musclecar performance.
As usual, I'd like to see a GS460AWD. I thought very highly of the 300AWD and gave it an All-Time-Best award. The 460 would go very well with the weight, drag, and power loss of AWD....but the AWD hardware might not fit with the larger engine up front, and a 460 with AWD would be a real gas guzzler unless it had a switch like on the new Suzuki SX-4 that runs the car in 2WD mode when the extra traction is not needed.
They had the 600hL on display, but you couldn't get in it.
They did have the 460L with Executive Rear Seat package though, and my friends fell in love with it. They sat in the backseat for about ten minutes just taking it all in.
As for the IS coupe/convertible, GS460, IS-F, and LF-A, there was no official word on any of those items for this show, but most likely will pop up in Detroit (which I think is early next year, right?)

With the 600L h being AWD, clearly Lexus has a beefy AWD system....an AWD GS 460 would be a niche but a nice one.
