2009 RX 350 rendering

An 'L-Finessed' idea. I wonder if the third row seat will truly be added as Edmunds says, or instead the JX series will get it.
And I do wonder if they're going to go the full route with the rear side window upturned that much.
Of course, RX renderings to me have been always strangely off the real thing, just like the original RX 300 rendering looked different (the real vehicle is always nicer IMO).

Pretty sweet.
I'm sure those big wheels are just put on by the illustrator. All car sketches are like that.
More importantly, if the 4.6L V8 version mentioned in the article is true, then it should not be based on the Camry platform anymore, but rather a RWD platform.

I still really like the current model. I think that it looks great, still has an awesome interior, drives beautifully, has all the right features, is priced prefectly, and has 270HP to boot. I'm thinking about maybe picking one up in 4-5 years for my next car.
Sounds sort of lame, but the RX 350 is actually one of my favorite SUVs out there, at any price point.

I won't bet on the accuracy of this illustration to the eventual real new RX.
Like the overall lines
But I really question the shoeing in of a third row seat based on the concept drawings. Doesn't look like any more room behind the rear door than what the RX330 & RX350 have now. But maybe this is just the standard wheelbase model and not the longer wheelbase. Or is the third row for use by 10 year olds or less
Anyway I have the 2005 RX330 and will be due about 2009 or 2010 for a new one. May wait for the 2010 just incase of first year problems. Would like to see an RX with more room in the back, wouldn't really need the third seat, just would like another 18 inches or so back there.
2005 RX330 Thundercloud. Thundercloud Mist, NAV, ML, Tow Package (Lexus hitch), Gray/Black interior with Black Birdseye Maple, Clear Bra and 18" Thundercloud rims with Michelin MXV4's.
1998 GS300 (Previous Lexus) Wish I still had it!

Just my opinion, my only real design complaint is I wish they would have kept the round back similar to my RX300...I thought that was the most attractive feature and was not happy when I saw what they did starting with the RX330.
The power will be nice and hopefully there will be a lot more aftermarket support than with previous RX models.

Loving this general design, though the front's air dam looks a tad too big. I think they should keep this a successful two-row vehicle, if they plan on adding a larger SUV with three rows later on, ala Mercedes ML and GL.
