Question exhaust question

so i have an IS 300 an 01 and my exhaust has started to wistle wich is quite embarising some times because its freakin loud!! so here is my predicament I dont have alot of money right now so im wondering if i should just buy a normal muffler and slap it on and then start saving for a nice one or do i just live with the wistle until i can get a full nice exhaust? and i am fairly new to the lexus world so i was hoping that maybe some of you could point me in the right direction for exhausts . Like brands and maybe some web sites if yall have time. Thanks for your help!!

sounds like a crack in the pipe somewhere, try taking it to a local exhaust shop and theyl prolly just weld the hole shut for cheap.

I would call your local Lexus dealer to see (doubtful) if your exhaust system may still be under warranty, you can also do a search under exhaust and get some ideas.

I agree, locate that crack and weld it. I had an exhaust manifold crack (the one common to early RX300s) and my uncle simply welded it shut as in the picture. It ain´t hard to do.
