Default PAUL HARVEY Compliments Lexus

Even PAUL HARVEY announced the J.D. Powers report that Lexus is No. 1 again (as in past 12 years) for reliability.

That’s a very nice compliment.

Does he add his own comments, or he's just stating the fact?

He just stated the fact. But, for him to even mention it is quite a compliment because Chevrolet is one of his sponsors.

"This is Paul Harvey. Good day"(in his old crackly voice )

Would have been nice if he gave his opinion though.

His opinion is for sale like most everything else in the advertising/marketing/media world, so it wouldn't matter much what he said. After working in that arena for a few years I'm amazed how LITTLE legitimate informtion there is out there on any subject. Most everything you read in magazines, or even newspapers -- and certainly most stuff you see on TV -- is the result of marketing/PR. Even many of the "comparison" and "how to" articles have some company's PR behind them -- just clever ways to get word out without you recognizing it. If you think this is not true, it's simply an example of the PR agencies doing a good job -- you don't recognize their hand in things that you would like to take as unbiased or expert opinion and review. I know what I'm talking about because it's related to how I've made my living. Makes you look at all magazines, TV, "news" and most other sources of "information" with a very suspicious eye. Sad, but true. Bull**** runs the world.

I don't think Paul Harvey would have said anything if he weren't paid to do so.
