1971 Volkswagon SuperBeatle ... Baby Blue ... heat vents running from rear engine to cabin had rusted out which meant winter driving was very cold inside the car...I'd scrape ice off the inside of the window from breath condensation while I was driving.
What a boat! I felt untouchable in that thing. A huge semi rear-ended us in that thing once and it only left a couple small dents in the rear bumper. Any other newer car & the semi would've been in the back seat.
We sold it in '98 w/ 280K miles on the original tranny and engine.
Not my pic, my car was the slightly lighter shade of blue.
My junior year of high school in 1974 my parents got me a 1969 Plymouth Satellite. It was the little brother of the SuperBee....not as fast but faster than most cars. I used to eat base Camaro's and Mustangs for lunch.
The year was 1995 I was still in H.S. and my mom gave me her Black 1990 XJ6. You could'nt tell me I wasn't running New York despite the fact that I probably only drove the car 9 times. That Jaguar stayed in the shop. Nothing but electrical problems which would later prepare me for my future Range Rover. The Brits did me wrong........twice!!
1997 Toyota Camry 5 speed. I started getting into the car thing and ended up putting on a turbo as well as lots and lots of money into the car. Stupidly, I got rid of it when I only had $3k left on it until it was mind. I miss that car, and regret it everyday that I sold it... but it's ok, because I traded it for the GS.
