What was your first car??
well.. my first car was a 1991 Acura legend coup, which i own for a DAY. how you might ask. well the firday i drove it i had a fight with my EX. and i guess the emotion got to me. i flip three times and ended upside down when it finally stop... after that i got a 92 Toyota Camry LE, which was o.k.. with 200K on it , had to put engine oil every 3rd days. now i'm sporting a Es300 and another 91 Legend(sedan)..
The reason I went Japanese & never went back. Nevermind the transmission issues where the car would cut off @ every stop or the crazy oil pump that caused me to have to replace the entire engine ... my favorite kinks were like the passenger door that would no longer open or the windows that would no longer roll down. When I traded it in the salesman got out of the car & said: "This car is NOT safe. I will not let you drive off in it."
I tried to find it on the web but does anyone know if it was a RWD? Thanks

1958 Hillman Minx - 4 door sedan, column 4 speed, actually had a crank you could start it with. This was in 1964-65 so it was actually only 6 years old. Neat little car. Traded it in on a '65 Sunbeam Tiger after I got married.
OH MAN, my first vehicle was a 1994 Nissan Pathfinder. I used to love that truck. It was like a tank, just ask the police officer that I had the accident with. First and only accident and it was with a cop. Hey and it was black just like my current vehicle.

My first car was a 1979 Ford Fairmont V6.
My first car was a 1979 Ford Fairmont V6.

The Fairmont / Zephyr platform hung around a lot longer than the car itself did. it served as the Mustang's ( and short-lived Mercury Capri ) basic platform until 1994.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Fairmont / Zephyr had a V6 like you said. Like its competition, the Dodge Aspen / Plymouth Volare, Chevrolet Nova, and AMC Hornet, it used a straight-six, inherited from the Ford Maverick, which it replaced.
