Default Ferrari 612 on fire

Link to thread of Ferrari on Fire

Hey, saw this over at 6speed.com. I think that gas tank ends up going or something... thats a HUUUUUUUGE fireball.

I wonder what caused the fire to start in the first place on such a new vehicle... electrics?

EDIT: couldn't get hyper link to work directly to video, but this is the link to the thread at 6speed.com which will take you there. I know we can't link to other car forums, but I didn't do this to start beef with another forum or anything.

I dunno what the heck they are saying, but it is likely something to the effect of "Attention Ferrari owners, your resale value just went up".

Maybe that's the reason why I didn't feel particularly bad after watching the video clip

There was a very old video (at least 6-7 years old) with a Ferrari 456GT making repeated hard stops and acceleration runs on a test track.

It eventually had a blowout from underneath the hood. Since it was only a loud boom with white smokes coming out of the engine bay, it was speculated that the Ferrari might have blown its radiator.

Anyone still has this video?

Jon

Actually.... I might have it. I'll have to look for it tomorrow after my CD drives are fixed. Motherboard IDE slot isn't connecting up to them at the moment
