Default "droppy pants" car chase

Check out the video for "droopy pants" car chase on cnn.com. Pretty impressive/lucky driving for a guy in an SUV... Although when you try to escape on foot when you have helicopters on you, you're probably not going to do too well. Unfortunately the video launches with javascript so I can't copy in the URL... But if someone else has a URL to the video, feel free to post...

That man sure was running for his life. Very dramatic and entertaining at least for us onlookers.

Here's the direct link to the video.

Was that a highlander he was in? Man he drove like a maniac through the traffic. He must really wanted to test out the performance of the highlander .

Good call. I had a hard time figuring out what SUV that was. Toyota should buy the right to this video and add credence to the handling capabilities of their SUV on their website.

Toyota should definitely use this as their marketing campaign minus the running away from cops and going on the wrong side of the road. The car was pitted and was still able to speed off. Thats Toyota durability right there. Kinda like the Toyota tundra commercials with the meteor and the cliff drop.

I'm sure Toyota would love to show criminals using their cars for illegal activities. Actually didn't they issue a statement a while back saying that they don't sell cars to terrorists, in response to the fact that so many people out in the desert in the Middle East drive Land Cruisers, and they were showing up in Al Qaeda videos and whatnot? Does anyone else remember that or am I going crazy? This would have been a long time ago, 3-4 years I think...

I wonder why so many of these people think they can outrun cops?

You would think that with many of such car chases broadcasted LIVE on TV, some of them are bound to end up showing "success" stories of the suspects. Has anyone seen that happen before?

They end up on TV but by black market, heard of Getaway in Stockholm and such? Movies like that aren't shown on national tv and the cars are alot nicer. It would be too depriving for cops to show people actually getting away, no moral oo dignity, lol Go eat a donut while I run!

Nope - just a regular Limited version. The wheels are different on the Hybrid.

That guy sure is ballsy! Looks like he ran past the Edelbrock company...
