If you had one for the TSX it probably would show somewhat of a rarity - 3 years after the intro numbers are still going up with few changes. Acura has found itself a nice niche.
If Lexus didn't already have the ES it could probably have done the same thing with the Avensis - gussy up a European model and sell it under the Lexus plate.

I think chiawei would agree with me, the TSX does not belong here. That car is A3/Legacy/Camry/Altima competion. Its priced that way. It does not belong in the entry level luxury sales comparison.

If that is the case, I want Camry XLEs, Avalons, Maximas, XG 300s, Azera's, Accord Hybrids etc included.

I'd say it's on par with the S40, but not A3. It's a sub-30k luxury-make sedan.

Need to post a disclaimer:

Looking back at my database, my info for 3-series, A4, and G35 sales contains model variants other than sedans. 3-series and 5-series contain M3 and M5 sales. Also, STS and DTS sales contain Seville and Deville sales, since I considered them as successors like the 2GS to 3GS.

I don't have any data that breaks the sales down any other way. Sorry.

If MSRP is the only consideration perhaps, but in the overall scheme of things it is an entry level luxury sedan. Acura and lots of people consider it such. If the MSRP of the TSX were exactly the same as the IS250 would it sudenly fit the category better?

Ron - I have no clue why Lexus is publicly talking about the RX350 and LS460 and not the GS350. Very strange if you ask me. I'm betting the RX350 comes out before the fall.
Doug, between you and I, I am beginning to wonder exactly what they call fall? I don't know if sales are so soft because of the new engines coming, the new models coming, the current GS isn't very desirable, or Lexus is strangling supply but I get the feeling that things are a little out of control with their sedans and I don't think they are going to straighten it out for a lot of months. Personal opinion, everything has been driven by the next LS. Maybe that is as it should be. But they sacrificed the GS in the process. A pity. I think a lot of us have had the feeling that Lexus may not exactly have focused on making the GS all it could be and maybe we are just seeing how close to reality that is. Oh well, I knew I was waiting for the LS with a lot more enthusiasm than the GS. But the way they are making announcements, and not making them, and announcing vehicles and either not having them available or in questionable supply, I really wish they would get their shipments together.
