Probably getting a Sienna-Is this a good price?
I am usually too cheap to buy brand new cars, but it seems I can get a brand new Sienna for only about $3-4k more than a year or two old one with 25k ish miles.
I have been communicating with dealers in my vicinity via email, and so far I can get a brand new LE with leather and package 2 for $26k plus tax, tag, etc.
does that sound cheap enough?
does anyone have good or bad experience with 04+ Sienna?

My sister bought an 05 XLE Limited for $33 or $34k OTD maybe 4-5 months ago
. It was fully loaded except for nav and no rear spoiler and no sidesteps (thank goodness). It was the dark blue color maybe an unpopular one and wanted to get rid of it.
She loves it
My cousin bought an LE for $26k OTD (not 100% sure but will correct if its wrong). Possibly the package 2: power right sliding door, home link, alloy wheels, side airbags, NO leather.
I believe that sounds about right considering yours might be about $28k OTD, the extra 2k might be the leather and probably some other options.
Not sure if this helps Chuck.

I've only looked at the Limited so I am not familiar with the price points of the other levels. How much above invoice is that price you got Chuck? A few months ago, they were liquidating the 05s for very respectable price. Part of it was end of the year but the 06s are also refresh models.
when the wife and I were looking at minivans...we looked at the Sienna I tink it was limited regardless, the dealer we were shopping at wa a volume dealer adn they didnt care..."another dealer is offering you invoice?" "that's fine with us, we'll sell it to you at invoice"

you can just ask the dealership to show you the invoice. i forgot the price of the normal le. i was looking at the xle (not limited) and i think the invoice was 29k. i think the invoice of the le shoudl be around 25k to 26k?
playing my vague memory here though

Just make sure that " new " Sienna really IS new and not a demo or a factory program car with several thousand miles on it.
Many people in the auto marketing and sales buisness ( fortunately, not all ) are notorious bulls**tters and will tell you anything over the phone, Internet, or E-mail....and then say something else when you get there. I have gone to look at potential vehicles for buyers that were promised over the phone to be still available....only to find, 15 minutes later at the dealership, that they were in fact gone or being prepared for someone else.
I've also seen a lot of bait-and-switch prices on the Internet or just plain misprints and errors.
So..I'm not necessarily saying that this dealership is dishonest......but just make sure you are getting what is promised. A truly brand-new Sienna with leather for 26K, even without a lot of other equipment, is not bad.....but find out if it is a new 2006 or a leftover 2005 with no miles. A leftover 2005, of course, will go for less, but it has been sitting on the lot for months and may have things like flat-spotted tires, dead battery, rust on some exposed metal parts, paint and trim damage from bird droppings, etc.....

My mom used to have an '01, but sold that a while ago and now has an '05 XLE Limited (Phantom Gray Pearl and taupe combo). I believe we got that for around $32K out the door. It's pretty much got all the loaded features except DVD and navigation. The HID lights seriously own
Check carsdirect.com I find them to be a useful tool when pricing out cars. Just make sure you check all the appropriate boxes for options. Easiest way to know if you have the right price is compare the MSRP from the car you are considering to the one on website and match them up. Then you'll see the buying price right inderneath it. Then use that price to go into dealer and negotiate as far down as you can get.
Good luck.
Good luck.
the seats should be the same, they are still from factory anyway. but i am not sure about the door panel, they have to remove and put on new ones with leather?
if it could be from factory of course it's better, but personally i think port install shoudl be ok

Port install is fine, it is still considered "factory" and will be printed on the window sticker. As long as they can ensure it's port install and NOT dealer install leather you should go for it.
