With a commercial like that you're just preaching to the choir.
Interesting and sometimes funny.......but 5000 RPM on a presumably cold engine start before the oil pressure comes up?
I guess they budgeted the life of one engine just for this commercial.

So I guess driving a Honda is akin to listening to a bunch of wack jobs make noises in a parking garage??
It was a very different commercial, I'll give it that. But it did absolutely bupkis to make me want to test drive a new Civic.

No, I agree with you that the Civic is a very good car. (As are the majority of Honda's). It's the advertising I take issue with. In an effort to be "innovative" and "different", I feel they have alienated the buyer, and are only looking for name recognition.
