Lightbulb What to replace the SC with???

I am pretty sure that I my 2000 SC3 will not be able to be repaired. I loved that car and I am not sure what to replace it with. I was considering the G35 coupe 6MT. It is not quite as luxurious and spacious as the SC, and that is important to me. Aside from a super clean 2000 SC 3 or 4, I am not completely sold on any particular car. What ever I get must be a coupe (unless it is a 2006 IS350). Do any of you have any suggestions or know of a really clean 99-00 SC? I am all ears and would appreciate any feedback.

Well if you choose NOT to get another SC you should get something that is very comparable in everyway... say a Ferrari 430 or Bentley GT

It will probably be a Carrera GT, but thank you for the suggestion. Just Kiddin (as if that is not obvious) Seriously, what do you all think?

I'm in the same boat as you! I have 04-05 STi and E36 M3 on my list too though, but I think it's really between the G35 and the STi.

How much can you afford to spend? No sense in us suggesting either new or used vehicles outside of your budget until we know what you can afford.

Well, for $40,000 ( if that is what you can in fact afford ) it's hard to beat a new IS350 ( starting at $36,000 )...even if it is not a coupe.

If 2 doors are a MUST and RWD is OK, go with the G35 coupe....or a Toyota Solara V6 if you want to save a little money. The Solara will probably be more reliable but is FWD.

If you're talking coupes there is not much to suggest from Japanese brands anymore. Gone are the days of the big Legend and SC coupes.

The BMW 3 series coupes are great little cars. A good friend of mine has a 2000 model which he absolutley thrashes; yet, amazingly, it is still rock solid. It really has been a model of reliability.

The only thing is that they don't really have the same "large coupe" look that makes the SC so sexy. The Solara looks nice though.

Really, I think you've got to go looking for another SC!
