Guys,
My fathers work is giving him a new car - his limit is $150,000.
However, because of where they live - this gives him a 530i sport with the M package
I told him I would send him some pictures of what $140-$150k would get him here.
Bear in mind he is a professional who has no interest in modifications. It has to be a brand new car.
If you were a car sales man, what would you try and sell him for $150,000? Post pics and prices so I can show him this thread.

I'll be modest and take either a S600/S55. But it doesnt make a difference if you buy it from here and ship, or there, because after taxes, and duties, it will be the same im guessing?
If you don't mind me asking... what area is this that a $150,000 gets just a 530i??
anyhow, for $130,000 base price.... Mercedes SL600 (V12 Biturbo, 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds)...
Mercedes S55 AMG... $120,000
Mercedes CL55 AMG $120,000
Porsche 911 Turbo... about $120,000
Aston Martin AMV8... lil over $100,000
Dodge Viper SRT-10 ~ $85,000

Maserati Quattroporte Sedan ~ $110,000

I not only question the location, but also the discretion of a company that alots the equivalent of $150,000 US dollars for a personal vehicle allowance.
But that aside - Faraaz has some good suggestions.
The SL, CL, S and E-class Mercedes' are beautiful cars - in whichever iteration you choose.
The 997 is quite a vehicle as is the Aston - but if reliability is an issue, then the Porsche would certainly be the more prudent of those two sport coupes.
The Viper is a big, unruly, unfriendly vehicle (the interior is beyond substandard) that I would more than hesistate to drive daily.
The Quattroporte has to be one of the finest looking vehicles ever to have been produced - but, unfortunately, the transmission is awful and it would probably cost another 150k/year to maintain.
I suggest your father limit his search to large sedans given the association these cars have with executive-level business. At the top of my list in this segment are the:
Audi A8 (the VW Phaeton is a good value if you can find one)
Lexus LS
Jaguar XJ8
MB S/E-class (as previously recommended)
Acura RL
Cadillac STS V8
BMW 750 (new engine should take care of some this car's recent reliablity problems)
Lincoln TownCar

If you did what my dad does, you would also expect that much on a vehicle allowance.

i "heard" there was once this multi-level, pyramid company, every sales manager who lasted over 3 months got an E- class. different companies focus on building different accounting profolios.
